HOW DO I JOIN THE FOREVER FAMILY AT KING OF KINGS? We would love to have you as the next addition to our forever family! Your membership in a local Christian Church should be a pledge that you wear proudly. It is as prestigious as any other membership you may hold in your community. Your membership at King of Kings is a public confession of your desire to join in the mission of Christ. By joining King of Kings you are telling your world that your life is a resource that God can equip and now use as His tool to lead other souls to receive eternal life. You can put pride in having a church membership especially when you can see how hard your church is at work building the kind of ministry that members will find worth being proud of. You have our pledge of that kind of hard work here at King of Kings. If you presently hold a membership in a sister Lutheran congregation in affiliation with the LCMS, you may simply request a transfer of membership. The church office will take care of handling the paperwork. If you are Lutheran but not exactly sure whether or not you have membership elsewhere, you may simply request membership at King of Kings based on one of two actions. One, if you previously received a formal Christian Instruction, now pledge to make a formal affirmation of your Christian faith. A document of Affirmation will be provided you through the Pastor's office. Read the Affirmation and leave a copy with the Pastor once you have signed and dated it. Two, attend an eight session Adult Christian Instruction class led by Pastor Miller. If you are a Christian who is worshiping with a Lutheran forever family for the first time, you will find that the eight session Adult Christian Instruction class can answer many of the questions you will have about Lutheran history, tradition and doctrine. The Adult Christian Instruction class is a great foundation for new members who are new to the Lutheran experience. In the meantime, while you prayerfully seek to hear God's guidance about your decision for church membership, we enthusiastically welcome you here at King of Kings. Membership is not required before you can take advantage of the many opportunities for advancement in your faith. Membership is not required for certain acts of service. Pastor Miller is happy to explore with you any question you may have about membership or a relationship with King of Kings without formal membership.
