Annual Board Vote

We’re so thankful to the individuals who serve and lead on our Board of Lay Ministry. These 10 individuals, each elected to a three-year term, provide oversight and accountability for Pastor Greg and our staff. This year we’ll be electing three new Board Members, as well as voting to approve amendments to the Constitution, Bylaws, and Articles of Incorporation. Wednesday Connect

I Street Campus

Looking for connection and community this summer? Come to Wednesday Connect! This Connect Group is open to anyone regardless of gender, age, or stage of life. We just want to gather, dig into the Bible, and experience authentic community centered around God’s Word.

This Connect Group will meet in the Core Gathering Room each Wednesday from 6:30-7:45PM starting June 12 through July 31 (except for July 3 when Reliance takes place). We’ll be going through a RightNow Media study on Psalm 23, examining what it looks like to experience green pastures and still waters in our go-go-go culture.

Next Steps Brunch (I Street)

Learn more about King of Kings, what we believe, and how your individual story fits into our story and mission as a church, all while connecting with other members and enjoying a delicious meal!

This event will occur on Sunday, July 7 from 10:30AM-12:15PM in the Core Gathering Room on the North end of the building on I Street. We’ll share brunch from 10:30-11AM, then from 11AM-12:15PM we’ll learn about King of Kings’ purpose, values, and ways you can get connected.

Children are welcome to attend the brunch portion of the event. Make sure you check your kids into Kids Kount and get their name tags beforehand, then a staff member will arrive at 10:50AM to take them to their activities until you pick them up.

SCUBA VBS

What if your child could dive into a full week of exploring and growing their friendship with God? Our SCUBA VBS in June will let kids experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God while enjoying Bible events, games, crafts, and worship songs. Children who will be age 4 by July 31, 2024 through those who have finished 4th grade are welcome to register. Older students and adults can volunteer to serve.

Reliance Prayer & Worship Night (I Street)

Let’s kick off every month seeking God in prayer and worship. Join us for worship on I Street from 6:30-7:45PM the first Wednesday of every month as we practice our core value of our reliance on God. Childcare is available from 6-8PM.

June Reliance Night in the Park (Omaha Northwest)

Come have a blast at our June Reliance Night at Elk Creek Crossing Park/Stone Bridge splash pad on June 5! King of Kings Northwest will provide the main dish and we invite everyone to bring a dish to share. Dinner will start at 5:30PM followed by time to play, praise and pray together!

Summer Student Nights

Are you looking for a good time and fellowship this summer? Summer Students Nights are the perfect combination of food, friendship, and fun!

Each Wednesday this summer, we’re inviting students from incoming Grade 6 – Graduated Seniors in high school to join us at our I St campus from 6:30-8PM. During this time we’ll experience uplifting worship, feast on delicious meals, and play awesome games and activities. And this is all completely free, so please invite your friends to join in on the fun!

If you attend our Northwest campus, we are excited to offer you bus transportation from Concordia

to I St and back. Buses will depart at 6:15 and return at 8:15.

Middle School Guys Outing with Pastor Greg

Hit the links (figuratively) with Pastor Greg! All boys grades 6-8 and their friends are invited for an awesome night of food and fun at Topgolf on Sunday, June 2, from 6:30-8:30PM. It’s a free event with food provided and awesome prizes, so it’ll be a blast even if you don’t golf! Space is limited, so register now!

Parents or guardians must provide transportation to and from Topgolf (908 N 102nd St).

Peak Challenge

Peak Challenge is an annual opportunity for men, sons, fathers, brothers, and friends to get away from the everyday routine of life and experience all that God has to offer them in a wilderness setting: the mountains of Colorado. The 19th year of Peak Challenge will take place on July 30-August 3 near Leadville, Colorado.

Father Son Camping Trip

All Campuses

This is a great way for dads and sons come together to worship God, engage in bible study, enjoy fellowship with other families, and participate in outdoor activities while camping at Ponca State Park. Open to all fathers or male father figures and boys from pre-K (4/5-year-olds) through grade 6, this event kicks off on Friday, June 14 at 6PM and wraps up by noon on Sunday, June 16. The cost is just $20 per camper, and that covers the group site camping fee and four out of the six meals (including all Saturday meals and Sunday breakfast).
